The first few weeks of 2017 have been characteristically busy here at Delphian. January always sees a glut of recording sessions, which kicked off last week with The Marian Consort recording a series of contemporary Marian motets at St Michael’s Highgate. Next week, we record chamber music by Peter Maxwell Davies in Edinburgh with Hebrides Ensemble, and then it’s off to Hampshire for sessions with new Delphian signings, Gawain Glenton and in Echo.
Meanwhile, there is still plenty of work to do in the studio and we are currently putting the finishing touches to our May release, Giovanni Stefano Carbonelli: Sonate da Camera by Bojan Cicic and The Illyria Consort. Tune in to the video below for a sneak peek behind the scenes of the recording and a glimpse into this rich treasure trove of largely undiscovered music.
